The first attempt at fixing the keyboard

When it became clear that my "d" was not just going to snap back into place, I went for "plan B".





I took this out - I probably don't need a dinky little piece of plastic in there - right???



If you are wondering whether this worked or not, let me transcribe the "Directions" that I discovered on the rubber cement bottle afterwards.

"Low tack. To remove, carefully peel... Cement can easily be rubbed off once dry."
